Assistant Professor
I am an Assistant Professor with the joint appointment of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering & Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Western. I lead Mobility Technology Research Group (https://www.mobility-tech.ai/ ) with research funded by NSERC, SSHRC, Mitacs and industrial partners securing over $3.3 million. My research focuses on optimization methods, multi-agent robotic coordination, small- and large-scale algorithms with artificial intelligence (AI) for the new era of transportation and robotic emerging technologies. In parallel, I have four years of experience working in industries as an algorithm engineer and data scientist and have won over six awards in research and entrepreneurship. I have been working closely with both private and public entities in transportation, energy, robotics and AI domains in developing cost-effective and efficient technologies.
I am interested in applying for the affiliated membership as a faculty member at the Institute for Earth and Space Exploration. My main research and several funded projects focus on autonomous robotic navigation, mapping and multi-agent coordination, synchronization and swarm optimization, which can contribute to the Exploration Technologies at the Institute. I look forward to being involved in the institute’s activities and initiatives and if there is any other information needed, please kindly let me know. Thank you.
