Sarah Gallagher

Full Professor

Dr. Sarah Gallagher is the Director of the Institute of Earth and Space Exploration at Western University and a Professor of Physics and Astronomy. As the Science Advisor to the President of the Canadian Space Agency since 2018, she also serves as the liaison to the space science community and the Chief Science Advisor of Canada. Her research focuses on growing supermassive black holes and galaxies. She works to advance science policy for greater impact and to create a diverse and inclusive space science community. She teaches first-year physics and regularly talks to the public about astronomy and space science.
