Dr. David Clark

David is a research software developer involved in Western’s space situational awareness project using meteor cameras to detect, identify and refine the orbits of the many artificial man-made satellites that pass overhead every night.  Other areas of interest include collecting observations of large meteors (a.k.a. fireballs), determining their trajectories prior to hitting the earth’s atmosphere, searching for serendipitous telescopic images of these objects, and associating them with known asteroids and comets.
